Over 60 patients, carers, clinicians and supporters gathered at the Radisson Hotel, Stansted Airport for this year's Patient Day.
It proved a great opportunity to learn about kidney cancer and its treatment, as well as to meet other kidney cancer sufferers. Delegates found out about kidney cancer surgery, the staging and grading of kidney tumours, patient support groups, patient advocacy, the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC), the NICE patient involvement programme and the government's Cancer Fund. There was a question and answer session with experts in the afternoon. The day was chaired by ITN's science editor, Lawrence McGinty.
