Sex and The City 2 Glamorous Charity Evening sponsored by Sancta Maria Hospital

Sex and the City TV show has always epitomised female glamour and the trends of the time. It is no surprise that we ladies have loved to watch and see what the stars of the show will be wearing and getting up to next!

When the show ended we all waited with baited breathe to see if there would ever be a movie and to our delight almost 5 years later our dreams came true! And after the stupendous response to the first film, anticipation was high for the second film and no more so than for the lovely ladies of Swansea.

29 May 2010 what a night!

Jayne Smith of Ciotek is part of the James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer Social Committee, Wales and had organised a ladies night to watch the first movie in 2008 so it was received with great delight when Jayne suggested we organise a glamorous ladies evening to watch the second film and raise some money for The Fund!

On Saturday 29 May we gathered all the gorgeously dressed ladies at Aspers for a pre-cosmopolitan and after the film we met up at Oceana for more cocktails and Basqued in the memory and the highlights of the film! We were absolutely thrilled when the lovely Anne Palmer of Sancta Maria Hospital loved the concept of the event so much she decided that she wanted to be part of it and so Sancta Maria sponsored the event.

It could not have been more successful! 109 gorgeously styled ladies arrived at Aspers for their pre-cosmopolitan and goodie bags supplied by: Swansea Life, Couture Mumbles, Life Gym, Alberto Culver, Debenhams, Charlie’s Restaurant, La Baguette Da jour and Sancta Maria. At Aspers we were entertained by belly dancers from Isha Clydach, DJ Boo and Dinah Hockridge, Anne Palmer and Joanne Popham had the task of picking out the best dressed lady of the evening! What a task that was as everyone looked so beautiful and had made such an effort luckily Swansea Life Magazine were on hand to take photos of all the beautiful ladies.

The film was a hit and after the night we danced and revelled in the film’s success at oceana!

And if it couldn’t have gone any better we raised a HUGE £1413 on the evening!

And so it has to be said SATC 3 is again etched on our minds and we will be waiting to see what Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda get up to and are wearing but we will also be looking forward to raising more money for the aims of The James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer.
