Cardiff Half Marathon

The Cardiff Half Marathon is fast becoming one of the top races of the autumn running calendar. The route takes you through beautiful scenery and past historic buildings. It’s flat and fast, making it a perfect opportunity to achieve your personal best!

Welsh Athletics has granted the Cardiff Half Marathon the prestigious Championship status for the first time. The move will attract more top Welsh runners to the race.

For the first time in the race’s history, the Half Marathon is fully booked. 11,000 runners have signed up to take part in the biggest road race in Wales.

Among the thousands of runners, there is an intrepid team of ten who are raising money for the James Whale Fund: Lynda Civil, Patrica East. Glandon Jones, Andy Oram, Louise Oram, Ryan Orton, Christopher Popham, Joanne Popham, Suzanne Spiller and Sarah Whitticase.

You can support them by visiting their online fundraising page.

The James Whale Fund is one of the supporting charities of this event and if you would like to get involved, email Jo Popham, Community Development Officer, Wales.

You can read more about it on the event's website.
