This booklet, published in June 2005, provides a simple guide to the clinical guideline that the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) issued to the NHS in England and Wales on referral for suspected cancer. This guideline is an update of a guideline published by the Department of Health in 2000. The recommendations made here take account of new research and override those made previously.
