Hadrian's Wall
1 October 2006
James Whale’s son and three friends undertook a very big challenge when they agreed to walk the length of Hadrian’s Wall to raise much needed cash for the James Whale Fund.
Peter Whale and friends Danny, Dave and Simon bravely set off on their adventure at the end of September and courageously walked 20-25 miles a day for five days. They were rewarded with spectacular views as they climbed nearly 2,000 feet. Perhaps they will remember to pack plasters on their next trip as they had to resort to industrial gaffa tape to protect their sore toes. Ouch!
The intrepid walkers would like to thank Harrogate Spa Water who kindly sponsored them, ensuring they were kept hydrated throughout their trip.
